On August 22, the Project’s Second Party Branch convened its August Party Members’ Meeting alongside the Theme Party Day activity titled “Take the Lead in Combating Heat and Floods, Let the Party Emblem Shine in Safeguarding Production.” The meeting was chaired by Branch Secretary Li Lifeng, with all Party members in attendance. Focusing on the dual priorities of heatwave response, flood prevention, and production safety, the meeting combined theoretical study, work deployment, and practical action to further integrate Party building with project operations, giving full play to the Party branch’s role as a strong fighting fortress and Party members’ exemplary vanguard role.
For the first agenda item, Li Lifeng led all Party members in studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the Central Urban Work Conference, as well as his article, “Improving the System for Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance,” published in Qiushi magazine.
During the Theme Party Day activity, all Party members studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on flood prevention and disaster relief. Centered on the theme of “Combating Heat and Preventing Floods,” the session emphasized the responsibilities and mission of Party members in tackling urgent, difficult, and high-risk tasks, calling on them to uphold their original aspiration and mission with higher standards and stricter requirements.
In his concluding remarks, Li Lifeng stated that the meeting and Theme Party Day activity served as a practical example of integrating Party building with business operations. He called on all Party members to take the lead in three key areas: implementing flood prevention responsibilities, overcoming production challenges, and serving employees to foster a harmonious and stable production environment. The branch will continue to strengthen its heatwave response and flood prevention efforts, further align Party building with frontline operations, and provide strong political support for safe production and effective flood prevention throughout the project.
