On June 25, the Electrical & Automation Party Branch held a special Party lecture on studying the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Rules, together with a meeting to review the confirmation of a probationary Party member. Cheng Zhaohua, Member of the Company’s Party Committee, Chief Financial Officer, and Chairman of the Labor Union, attended the meeting and delivered the special Party lecture. The meeting was chaired by Branch Secretary Deng Lina, with all Party members based in Wuhan in attendance.
For the first agenda item, Deng Lina led all Party members in studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on advancing cultural and ethical development.
Cheng Zhaohua delivered a themed Party lecture titled “Perseveringly Implement the Spirit of the Central Eight-Point Rules.” He provided a comprehensive explanation of the Central Eight-Point Rules from multiple perspectives, led Party members in reviewing common violations of the Rules, and called on all Party members to gain a deep understanding of the principles of Party conduct in the new era. He emphasized the importance of consistently implementing the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Rules and fostering unity and entrepreneurship through exemplary work conduct.
During the meeting, probationary Party member Guo Xu reported in detail on his growth and progress during the probationary period, covering his development in ideology, political awareness, and learning. He also reflected on his shortcomings and expressed his firm determination to continue improving himself and contribute to the Party after becoming a full Party member. His Party sponsor, Gao Yuan, introduced his overall performance during the probationary period and presented an opinion supporting his confirmation. The Branch Committee reported the results of its review and the feedback collected from Party members and the public, concluding that Guo Xu met the standards required of a Communist Party member. Attending Party members then discussed his application in full, and a secret ballot was conducted. The meeting unanimously approved Guo Xu’s confirmation as a full member of the Communist Party of China upon the expiration of his probationary period.
In his concluding remarks, Cheng Zhaohua stressed the importance of recognizing the serious harm caused by formalism and bureaucracy. He urged all Party members to practice thrift, oppose extravagance and waste, and approach their work with a pragmatic and results-oriented attitude. He also encouraged Party members to broaden their international perspective, strengthen their foreign language proficiency, continuously enhance their core competencies, and contribute to the company’s sustainable, high-quality development.
